Client Overview
Little Astronauts is Hull's space-themed soft play and family dining destination, based in the Prospect Centre. With play zones, party packages, SEND sessions, school trips, and a full restaurant and café, it's become one of Hull's most popular family venues. CreativePixels built their first WordPress website at launch in 2024, and returned in late 2025 for a full rebuild as the business outgrew the original site.

The Challenge
Many small businesses launch with a website that does the job at the time. For Little Astronauts, that first site got them off the ground. But within a year, the business had expanded well beyond what it was built for, and the site couldn't represent what they'd become.

- A site structure built for a simpler operation that couldn't represent the full range of what they now offered, including parties, SEND sessions, school trips, memberships, and dining.
- No clear pathways for different visitor types, leaving parents, schools, and party planners navigating the same undifferentiated pages.
- Weak SEO foundations limiting visibility for key local search terms in a competitive family leisure market.

Our Approach
Having built the first site, we understood the business well and could move quickly on the WordPress rebuild. The focus was on structure, clarity, and making sure every part of their operation had a proper home.
- Rebuilt the information architecture around distinct visitor journeys, covering general sessions, parties, school groups, SEND bookings, and the AstroClub membership.
- Integrated the existing BookNow booking system cleanly so the path from browsing to booking was seamless.
- Carried the brand's space theme consistently throughout, bold and energetic, and built to perform on every device.

The Solution
Little Astronauts now has a WordPress website built for where the business actually is. With clear navigation, a full booking integration, and dedicated sections for every part of their offer, the site supports a growing operation. For small businesses that have outgrown their website, this project is an example of what a considered rebuild looks like. Same business, same brand, but a site that finally matches the scale and complexity of the operation behind it.
